F & R diff gear's, are they cut differently
I am looking at getting a R200 4.375:1 front diff for my Navara. Its out of a RWD car.

yes they are cut the other way around so the pinion drives on the right side of the teeth you would have to fit the diff upside down

yes i realize that but what im saying is helicol cut gears are designed to run load one way which is why they break easier in reverseANDREWGQ 351 wrote:fitting the diff upside down will make the front wheels rotate opposite to the rears
