F & R diff gear's, are they cut differently

I am looking at getting a R200 4.375:1 front diff for my Navara. Its out of a RWD car.

your only needing the center not the ring gear and pinon, you have to pull the pig apart on both the donor LSD and your trucks diff

Na I dont wanna get the LSD in, I wanna go the R200 because they are stronger and there is a diff lock available.

yes they are cut the other way around so the pinion drives on the right side of the teeth you would have to fit the diff upside down

fitting the diff upside down will make the front wheels rotate opposite to the rears

Righto, back to researching, I am now thinking VG30E powered vans 4x4 for there front diffs.

yes i realize that but what im saying is helicol cut gears are designed to run load one way which is why they break easier in reverse
