plug lead upgrade ? 4.5L EFI L/C

Post by hypo »

I am going to do a major serivce on my 80series, it has a 4.5L EFI motor in it.

Just wondering if there are any better plug leads out there for it ? the stock ones are about as big as a match stick.

Will I gain anything from running aftermarket leads ? or should i stick with some stock replacements ?

A mate of mine looked into through our mechanic, but he struggled to find leads to fit due to funny plug ends IIRC.

Maybe shoot PGS4WD a PM or wait for him to reply as he has allot of success with ICE ignition leads and may be able to help you out.
Cheers,
Dan.

IMO you will be best going for original toyota spec leads, on other cars when I have tried so called performance leads they have never been as good as OE.

I paid about $250 for a set of leads from Toyota

You can get NGK Iridium plugs for the 1FZ FE at about $14 each, I got some at the weekend but cant remember the plug no.!!!
