diff ratios cruiser/surf

hey im wondering will a surf (4.88) crown and pinion fit a 80series
lsd centre and will that fit my the rear of 73series???? :?
or can anyone tell me whats the lowest ratio (factory) i can get
for a cruiser :) cheers mick

No, Surf rear is 8" low pinion, 80 ser. front is 8" high pinion.
91' Hilux Surf with the usual mods & a few different ones ....

ive got 35s on my middy an i need to change my ratios
but like most we aint cashed up so we are looking to experiment

Maybe use this to make money to buy the ratios you want. Honstly tho try the landcruiser bible the rear diff in the 80's are a 9.5 inch so i'm lead to belive and the fronts being high pinion have reverse cut gears so you can't chop and change between hi and low pinion diff's. http://www.justdifferentials.com/

i havnt got a 80 series it a 85 middy fj73 what i do have is a lsd centre
out of the rear of a 80 series which i beleive will fit???

i was told that solid axle hilux ring and pinon fit a 73 so i got two diff centres off here for $220 with 4.88 ratios have as yet not got around to seeing if they are the same may do that on the weekend

Firsty, work out what size crown wheel you have in front and rear (may be different don't know middy's), then you can see what your choices are for gearing.
