havent heard of this let me know if you find anything out. i put power steer into my 85, one of the best mods ive done but needs a bit of revving at slow speeds to help it out, would be good if i could eliminate this

Could stretch the springs slightly as too much pressure will obviously make all the seals leak. Best bet would be fit it up if it feels underpressured get it flow tested and pressure tested as these are the 2 valves in your powersteer pump.

going to a larger pulley will cause the pump to turn slower. you need a smaller pulley to increase pump speed.

as high as you can rev the engine? On my 4Y that get's to over 6.5K rpm.. not that I would even dream of holding it that high for any longer than a microsecond.
