GM 6speed Auto or Manual in QG Patrol

Post by BOWTIE »

Hey all.
I am looking at doing an engine conversion on a GQ SWB I want to know if the GM 6speed MAnual or 6 Speed Auto will go in behind the L98 engine?
I read you can use the 4 speed Auto but I am having trouble getting info on the newer trans.
A email to Marks4x4 didnt get a reply.
Thanks all.

i did contact marks and they told me the auto will work but the manual is unable to be fitted up. i dont have the tech reason why - its just what they told me.

i was looking at full engine trans conversion and decided to keep the 5 speed as its good enough to handle the power of a 5.7l holden v8 with mods and tune.

hope this helps
