you have asked alot of questions so il do my best to answer them all
a body lift wont change your suspention. suspetion not conected to body
if u put longer springs in your truck you shouldnt need longer shakels or longer shocks depending on lift the best thing to do is go into the forum for what ever truck u have and ask there include
type of truck
how much lift you want
how much you wana spend
and what mods u already have

you need to go out into the shed, jump under ya car and have a good look over it, you will be surprised what you can learn from actually looking at things and understanding what your looking at. than if looking doesnt answer all the questions, come back and ask.

YOur body will be held down in 10 places and rest on the chassis at a couple others. A body lift on a Sierra impacts the steering only and you need to extend your steering shaft, either by replacing the biscuit, rubber disc down near the steering box, or some other method. Nothing else needs to be done. To make it look right though you'll want to lift the front bar up to match the body, the rear bar is attached to the body so that comes up with the lift.
