Ben the best way you can go is draw the profile you want to scale, and take it to your local engineering shop they usually have a folder there and can make exactly what you want probably up to 8 foot long in length if required, they wont bite you there but you will have to pay, cheers 

i dont naturaly look this bad work done it to me
thanks for the info guys. I suppose if i get it bent up i can make it as deep as i like so i can cut the centre section back as needed to follow the contours of the rear of the wagon as well...
