just a question getting thrown out there could you use a yuri rear drive disconnect on a daily driver/ off road vehicle. Do you think it could handle speed?
It would be nice if you could get one on a solenoid set up so all you had to do was press a button

I'm running a trail tough disconnect that's nowhere near as strong/ tight an elegant as a Yuri. Whilst I don't DD my car it's done quite a few decent road drives and the disconnect has been on it about 12 months and it's fine on the road with no visible wear.

I can't see any reason why you couldn't use a yuri on a DD.

A Trail Tough disconnect is engineerable on a sierra (in Vic) so long as it has a positive lockout to keep it engaged.

I suspect Yuri use the "offroad use only" justification to avoid litigation/insurance problems.

(A bigger question is that burns/digs are actually quite hard to achieve with a road car, so the disconnect is of dubious value if you're going to the expense of the Yuri unit)

For which? the TT Disconnect?

That's an application for sure, but it's not the market that TT developed that product for AFAIK.

Not in my experience with the TT disconnect.

the detents on the dog selector actually sit it in a location than means the plastic blocks don't run on the selector the whole time. Mine only has very light wear and it's done plenty of highway kms.

I got the motor for 1600 and a gbox with 80% reduction for 800 so i saved money there.
Those other transfercases still dont allow front wheel drive only do they?
How big are the actual units they look about 3 inches long.
Can you get the tt units to suit nissan shafts?

Atlas allows front wheel drive from the factory, or the NP205 can be twin sticked and setup for front wheel drive. Both are pretty solid units too.
