rolling chassis - where to look?

looking for a hilux ln106 rolling chassis to start a project. (chassis, basic suspension, fair body, no engine or gearbox.)

try as i might google isn't being much help on where to find one.

where should i be looking?

(south east queensland.)

ebay, car point actions.

Then you have swap meets maybe the 4wd seller mags.

most stuff will be hot rods though.

Another way would be buy a real cheap wreaked hilux or cheap hilux action then you';d have the lot a smashed body won't matter if your notgoing to use it.

Is this for a rep hummer or something?

worst comes to worst, try a wrecker. made a few calls when i was toying with the idea of a shorty gq comp i called and few had them and were willing to sell them

find the cheapest complete one you can, then you will have all the bits and it will be easy to get regod :cool:

i wanna use the body.. no rep hummer, wanna truck that i can use for social wheeling, trips away and the occasional entry level comp.

yea , im thinking if i can just get one without an engine an gearbox, itll be heaps cheaper than buying an already working one.

plan? boosted 1kzte, 34 x 10 ish rubber, engineered, simple tray and barwork to keep it as light as possible. the rest will be decided as i go, but the general idea is to build it so that i can compete in entry level comps.
