Did similar with my 80series. 4" dump pipe to the transfer case then 3" all the way back, with one straight through muffler at the rear. all on the inside of the chassis rail.

bends in the dump pipe are about 75deg, all others are 45deg max.
Was way too noisy with no muffler

Mines 2.5 inch mandrel bend with straight through muffler...works perfect.

Dont quote me on this but I have heard if you go to big you will loose the
power effect that an exhaust naturally generates. ....dont know how accurate this is though.

Isn't that only on n/a engines? With turbo's the quicker the gas is out the quicker the turbo spools

I am goin to make my exhaust 3 1/2 inch off the turbo and run it back to a 3inch with one muffler
