buying & soft topping a swb,Q' & A's

Post by pigletracing »

hi Im piglet, selling my comp rig to get family basher ( as the family has mised out on the fun over the last 10 years of competeing) I dont want to bash my GU, as its a company car (beach & touring is ok in it)
For those who know of me, I enjoy my wheeling,& so does the family.
this SWB will not be a daily driver. thats why I want to chop it. throw in a 6pt internal cage, harnesses, lockers, bar winch ect, basicly a comp truck but not for comps (YET)
## (Q) how legal is it to have a soft top with rear seats ?
## (Q) if it is legal, has anyone got pics of rear seating & seat belts
(as I feel that I could only put seatbelts for safty from the cage, or just put harnesses in,& the cage to incorperate the rear seats)
## (Q) is there any pics of SWB softies & their soft top styles,

YES I KNOW THAT ID JUST BE BETTER OFF LEAVING IT AS A HARD TOP, but I still want a softie

you wont be able to have front harness' in with people in the rear seats as you cant have the cross member behind you..

so normal seat belts all round but the rear seat belts would need to be bolted to the roll cage

Sandy Bowman had a nice bronze and black swb soft top a few years back, someone may have pics still.
