mongoose m80s issues

Post by Josh n Kat »

Hey guys just looking for some help wiring in an m80s into my patrol.

I'm having a few issues, one is the alarm arms itself completely after 30 seconds, i've read the instruction manual and it says ONLY the immobilizer should be activated automatically, not the shock sensor like i'm having happen... Then i'm a bit curious if i've put one wire in the wrong spot cause when i disarm the alarm my interior light comes on, is that supose to happen? I'm also having trouble proramming the turbo option, i'm guessing there may just be a bit of a knack to it?

I've already done a search but couldn't come up with what i was looking for.

mate i have a mongoose M80 in my 4runner but i didnt install it, i got autobarn to do it so cant tell u too much but i can tell you that my interior light has nothing to do with the alarm and i can remind you of the auto locking if you dont open the drivers door, any other door and it wont recognise it-itll still lock itsself, and the keys inside if u open the passengers door and throw the keys on the seat!

the interior light circuit is the trigger to let the m80 know that a door has been opened. if a door isn't opened 30sec after disarming it will fully re\-arm

grab the manual from here, there are some settings that can be changed using the remote. another thing is that the light could be set to come on as a courtesy light.

there is a knack to peogram the turbo timer un plug the turbo timer and do it from there just take your time turning the key and if you have picked up the wrong door wire that can also be the problem
