Grand Vitara H27A and H25A start up revs

I've been on a "quest" for a while now- to reduce the initial start up rev spike and cold idle speed on my XL-7.
There were a couple of reasons:
1. Spiking to over 2000RPM on a cold start with no oil flow can't be good for engine (or timing chain ) wear
2. If you've got an auto you'd be familiar with it "straining" against the brakes until the coolant is up to temp. I've actually nearly had an accident from this (combined with cold brake pads I nearly entered an interesction instead of stopping like I intended to )
Anyway, I finally succeeded today. If anyone is interested I've done an explanation with photos here: http://www.suzuki-forums.com/1g-2001-20 ... post142930
It should be equally applicable for the 2.5l Grand Vitara engine as well.
