Hey BPB02,

We have had our prado (2000 model GXL petrol 3.4) in the family since new and after 8yrs and 140000kms (with alot of 4x4 work and towing in that) the only things that have gone wrong is the electric aerial motor went and the alternator went as i drowned it after a day playing in the mud.

Apart from that i love the prado and it does everything i ask of it.

Also im getting about 14-15lts per 100kms normal driving, beach work or towing it goes to about 20-25.

Cheers

My brother is looking at buying a 2001 95 series prado (turbo diesel, 5 speed)

and was wondering what are the pros and cons of this model compaired to others and if there are any issues

and my guess on fuel consumption would be 12 - 15L / 100Km ? :?

any help / guidance would be greatly appreciated

cheers
