rims for vit

hey just wondering if anybody has mag wheels on there vit was gunna go 15x8 with 235/75/15 on em the car is a 91 soft top vit 2 door

haha that was hard to read

you should go with 15x7 rims, 15x8 is a bit too wide for the 235/75. check out the manufacturer specs and recommendations for rim width.

the question really was does anybody know if i can get wheels other than sunnys in australia for my vit

Don't they teach english at school anymore?

LOOK in the bible and you will find that F100, Kia, Sierra and Lada to mention a few all fit a Vitara.
LOOK on Ebay or your local wheel & tyre shop and you'll probably find more.

couple of things didnt go to school after grade 7 and my local tyre shop said only sunnies mate

Good luck, I looked 2 years ago for a 15x7 and couldn't find anything I liked out a limited choice.

The rims shown on Ebay are similar to the M/T Classic II

ARB have these, but only in 15x8 which won't be legal on the Vit.

I just had a hell of a time finding a 15x8 for a leaf Hilux, the choice was of about 5 wheels of which with mud and rocks in mind then I was left with 2 and setled on the M/T's as above. If I wanted 16's or bigger then its easy.

haha yer i think im going to have the same problem thats why ive been calling some friends in the states and there looking around for me they seem to think that i can get them it those classic II look, ill keep you posted

write (type) how you would talk. If you would talk flat out without taking a breath, then by all means leave out ya punctuation. But, you got lungs, and gotta breathe. So, when you'd take a breathe when talking, that's when you'd put in either a stop or comma. After a stop, you need a capital. Simple.
Mostly grade 5 & 6 stuff really.
As for spelling;- Right click and tick "check spelling"

My daughter in prep writes with capitals to start a sentence or a name and uses punctuation.

Luke, you don't just need to think about the rim width and the look but you also need to consider the offset and if you also wish it to be legal.

A 235/75R15 is meant to be on a 6" to 7.5" rim so 8" for that tyre is too wide and I think you'll also find that cars with IFS can only legally increase their track width by up to 25mm, solid axles can be increased by up to 50mm but you should check your own State regs to be sure. This means that as your standard rims have a 25P offset you can legally only go to a 12.5P offset. If legality isn't an issue then do what you like.

just getting absolutly mauled about my spelling and grammer i think im going to get 30x9.5 size tyres there only i little bit bigger than 235 75 15 hopefully big enough to run on 15x8
thanks for the head up about the offset and track width as i didnt know that but its not a issue

9.5's will be pretty stretched out on 8" rims. Wouldn't recommend it myself.

7's are a much better idea all things considered.

30x9.5's are bigger than 235/75R15's. 235's are just under 29". You've only linked to a tyre cover guide. 30x9.5's can legally go on a 6.5" to 8.5" wide rim but I still wouldn't put them an 8" rim, 7" is better.

Yes, we know. That's wrong because it's only a fitting guide for spare tyre covers.

235's are smaller than 30x9.5's

Yep OK .. my mistake..

30 X 9.5 is 765mm & is the same as a 240/80-15.
235/75-15 is 733.5mm
So there is 31.5mm difference in diameter and 99mm difference in rolling circumference.

They are a nice offset for a Vit although not technically legal at 5P. 235/70R16 would be comparable to 235/75R15. I have run this size and offset rim in an alloy with the tyre size I mentioned for a mainly street duty vehicle with some offroad.

ive order those rims in the 15x8 because that is the smallest size they come in.
i am getting 31 trepadors i think they are 10.5 hopefully they wont be to streched got so save for those now and also bodylift and suspension as well i can get front and rear kings for around 220 and am going to use commodore rear shocks still thinking about front ones.

Most people here that run 10.5's have them on 7" rims.
They fit easily.

yer i understand that, if i could get the rims i wont in 15x7 i would but i cant so im just gunna have to either internal beadlock them or just not let them down as much

10.5's will be fine on 8 inch rims, you may not be able to get them to single digit psi but otherwise will be fine.
