changing transmission mounts MQ SD33

Post by vk2icj »

Greetings

My SD33 MQ has a bit of shudder when I start out in 1st and in reverse. Before plunging into doing the clutch I thought I would change the transmission mounts (all 2 of them) I got 2 new ones. One of the originals looks more than shot. How exactly do you change them? There is only 2 bolts. Do I place a trolley jack under the gearbox and hold some of the weight and then undo one side at a time? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Chris
