How Do I Swap Auto Hubs with Manual locking GQ Hubs ?
Hi all, I have GU patrol wagon. I have swapped the Auto Hubs for GQ manual locking hubs. Not sure on what was involved in the change over, I came to a conclusion myself. To make it so it could be turned from free to locked without binding up, I took out the inner ring that sits on th outside of the spline. Then took the circlip off the spline and removed the brass washer leaving the metal washer. Then slid on the inside part of the GQ hub placing the circlip on this, at end of spline. With the rest of the hub bolted on, this now seemed to have created enough room to turn knob from free to locked position. So I ask the Question is this the right way to do this conversion.
