1.9 Litre Turbo Diesel Samurai

Post by greg »

Hi All,

Over in New Caledonia I found that there were a lot of 1.9L Turbo Diesel Samurai's about.

They were SWB, leaf sprung with a cross between a coiler and leaf sprung grill.

Does anyone have any info about these cars? - particularly the engine and drivetrain (gearing) - i'd be interested to see how these motors would go against other engines in the little zooks.

Thanks.

About the only thing that I know about them is that they have 3.4 diff gears ..

Same engine was also in Vitaras over in europe.

If you can find a suitable donor peugot might be worth investigating, but it looks a very tight squeeze in there.
