Anyone know of someone doing this? Want to avoid a bodylift as I have a tray mounted camper.

Looking to do same on my machine. I'm installing new front leafs this week, will test flex and work out something from there.
body lift the cab and not the tray
or you could possibly get a set made a little shotter, but unless your planning on running big long shocks for lots of flex, you could probably get away with using the standard mounts and some longer shocks

i had rancho 9115s on my front end with 2.5" lifted springs and stock steering links, and they didnt touch, how much flex are you getting, can you get some picks of where they are touching, shock hoops would push the shock away from the arm, but you will then need to buy longer ranchos so thats another $400 plus the cost of getting some custom shock hoops made.

Thanks for the info so far. Will take some pics and post them when I get the ute back from mechanic. Could be a couple of days though! Our setups sound the same, I'm running Tough dog leaves all round (2" lift front and about 3" rear) the fronts sure do give a heap more flex than the OME's I had previously.
My shock hoops go through the inner guard as I don't run a body lift. PITA but it works

Got the ute back from the mechanic, went to take a photo of the damage to the shock and the bloody digital camera has pooped itself. Did see an 84 - 88 model today and the J arm is lower where it connects the drag link than mine, this would appear to be the root of my problem with the extra flex. Mine doesn't appear bent because it's in the same position over the axle, the end is just higher. I didn't realise Mr Toyota made changes to the J arm setup. Is this the case?
has anybody tried doing the triple shock absorber trick. Where you use 2 identical shocks, shorter in length, and they mount about half way down, pointing upwards. Then at the top, under the guard, they have a bolt run through them, with the longer shock going through that bolt. Then the longer shock goes back down to the axle. ???
I saw this somewhere, and it said that it gives great flexibility in spaces where you can't fit a long single shock.

3 shock set up
Wild looking setup, essentially a floating mount. Getting the valving right could be a drama
