If you're on a low traction surface, and need 4wd, it will be fine. Otherwise, avoid 4wd.

how big is the jump in ratio?

thanks i was thinking it would be ok it just a temp diff have no plans to do any wheeling it 4.56 to 4.88

what scott said, if your in a situation where you actually need to use 4wd, windup would not be an issue, but disengage 4wd as soon as you dont need it anymore.
