i have a temp diff in a ifs lux with two diffrent ratios will it wind up

If you're on a low traction surface, and need 4wd, it will be fine. Otherwise, avoid 4wd.

how big is the jump in ratio?

thanks i was thinking it would be ok it just a temp diff have no plans to do any wheeling it 4.56 to 4.88
