Has anyone had troubles with the throwout bearing getting stuck. I couldnt disengage the clutch so i took the gearbox out and found the bearing gets stuck both engaging and disengaging the clutch, seems to get jammed up on the nosecone and you have to wiggle the bearing to get it moving back and fourth again. I have done the 1.6 conversion so it has to move an extra 6mm forward, but i dont think that would affect it, as it mainly gets stuck before it passes the end of the nosecone.

when replacing clutch thrust bearing etc you should clean all the old greese and crap off the slide and on the fork pivot and re greese. havnt seen one so bad that it wont let it return even a little. if its worn the inside of the thrust bearing on the plastic slide it can rooster and jam. same if the metal slide is aswell. could also be a combination of the above and worn clutch diaphram springs.

Hey. Mine was doing this with the gearbox out of the car when i was doing the conversion.

Its works fine in the car.

Must be the load on the clutch that makes it ok.
