Hi all looking a putting a different cam in my hilux to help out with towing,anyone know where to get one from and has anyone done this before?

ive heard of people putting 2.8L cams in for better peformance.
2005 HDJ100 Manual, ARB bar, XD9000 winch, ARB rooftop tent + awning, Drawers, Engel, 2" OME lift, 285/75R16 KM2's, iCom, HID XGT's.

is it the turbo model and is it gen 1 or 2?

the 2.8 cam will only fit gen 2's. if i remember correctly it improves top end. some info on http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/forum/ about it.

for towing its proberly better to upgrade to the 2.8 or 3 litre.
