M15 x 1.5 tap required

Hi - need to tap a hole into my landcruiser transfer case to install the front drive selector shaft detent ball/bolt...

its a M15 x 1.5 thread - if you can help out by tapping it for me please let me know asap!

In brissy south side but will head across brissy etc...

are you sure its 15mm? thats a really odd size, I have never heared of it.

If its m14 or m16 with 1.5 pitch I can tap it, but let me know soon so I can grab the tap before my work shuts down for chrismas.

Tried to round one of these up some time ago.. I can't remember but it was definitely a weird one. Not 14 or 16. I did track some down on ebay but can't remember who or where, I didn't buy one, tho they were quite cheap from memory.... good luck. :cool:

getting it drill out and ta;ped for m16 and replicating the old plug to hold the detent ball and spring...

i'm really at a loss here. if the detent ball +bolt is required, i'd have assumed they would be tapped for it already?

no - the intermediate plate is from a 60 series that had the vacuum opertated push button for engaging 4wd... so there is no hole for the detent ball and plug as found on the lever activated type. its cast there but not drilled and tapped.
