I aint giving advice mate, but i ran 12.5 on 7 inch rims for ages without ever having an issue, I could not see why you couldn't run 13.5 on 8 inch rims.

having said that i know they dont recomend it, and i am not the person to explain why or challange the reason.

Since you brought this up, u think it's ok if i run 10.5s on a 6inch wide rims?
Actually what are the risks when u run thinner rims then recommended?
This is one thread i'll be following.
Cheers

less contact of the tread face to the road, so there for less grip... would feel looser on the road, corner like a bitch.. and would not recomend it....

Just cause some one else has been doing it for years , dosent mean it's safe!

13.5 and higher are suited to 10" rims

12.5 and lower 8" rims but will work on a 10" rim but u cant run like 10psi they may pop off or leak

that is wat my understanding is.

rims

The wider the rim . the better the shoulder contact and that means better grip on the road and traction in the bush, especially when deflated.
Besides - the 13.5's will look even fatter on wider rims.

Mate also if your running 13.5 on a 8 inch rim, it will leave your side wall open for a punture. Also it will become a pig on the road, being a bias tyre it will roll alot on the side wall. My suggestion go to 10inch wide rims. And if the tyres are going to be on there 24/7 get a radial. Its just not worth rolling your car for the sake of the tyres under it. But if your only putting them on for the weekends go ahead but with a 10inch rim. And be careful on the road it will wont to roll and will be very floaty at 80km plus
