cv help

Post by 88pajero »

I recently sold my 4runner to a mate and when I sold it I told him to get the cv fixed but he hadent got around to it yet. Today he came around for a visit and I climbed under the 4runner and was able to move the cv shaft backwards and forwards easily, no other cv ive grabbed has done this. Does this mean the cv shaft is busted or both ends of the shaft have busted it joints??
Jabber gone. Now have 98 nissan terrano and a 94 4.2ldiesel rv troopy on 33s slowly getting the fancy bits. How the hell do I change my user name?

If it slides in and out of the hub it may be broken or if your lucky the circlip on the end of the outer CV has popped off and you just need to remove the free wheeling hub and put it back on.

The inner CV should have movment in and out but the outer one is fixed.

good luck.
