Just bought me a new thermo the other day and i am abit puzzled as to what to going on.
I used a marks adaptors wiring kit to wire it up with a body control module from v6 conversions at moree. The BCM has a serial data line, pos, negative and low speed fan control which i had no farking idea what this was until yesterday.
So i have an orange with a blue trace wire that comes out of the marks wiring loom which i was told to put to positive and then earth the fan. After this was not working i was told to use the low speed fan wire from v6 conversions bcm and jump it to the blue with a white trace wire on the thermo fan relay from marks which worked but while everything was turned off????? I am absolutely positive that the BCM has no power until reds are turned on because that is the way it was wired up and the fuel pump only kicks in at reds as well which i beleive the CPU needs the serial data line from BCM to run.
Is there anyone out there that has done the conversion using marks loom and BCM from v6 conversions and encountered this problem???
Now i know i can just wire thermo on switch and turn on manually but i would feel safer knowing the CPU/BCM will control it.
Any help really appreciated.
Thanks guys
Dave

I just done this swap in my triton. I didn't use the Mark's loom after reading the amount of sh*t that you need to deal with in sorting it all out. There are blokes on here that'd be happy to tell you thier stories.
I simply bought a brand new standard engine harness and sent it to Steve (killalux) who shifted the engine bay fuses into the cab for me and give me ample cabling to run into the dash cluster for lights, gauges and ignition. To run to the thermo fan, fuel pump, starter motor, speed sensor, neutral switch and whatever else I can't remember.
All I had to do was then run earth wires to the fan, pump, neutral switch and so forth. How hard is that? No BCM's, no duplicated circuits, no missing circuits, just straight forward simplicity. I had the wiring harness on the motor in no time and the car wired in a day and I'm electically stupid
Also shouldn't your fan only have a positive and negative wire on it? And what series gear are you using?
