what sort of oil do people use in their diesel engine?
Hi everybody, I was curious to know what sort of oil people are using in their diesel engines? Mine is a 4D56 turbo intercooled and I have always used Penrite Diesel15, 15-50 oil (not the thicker, more common HPR Diesel 20-60). My engine runs well, but I was wondering what would happen if I went for thinner oil for my next drive to Queensland in two weeks (eg Penrite Diesel5, 5-40 oil), would it benefit performance of fuel economy, or do I just stick to what I know?
