does any one know some where in the north side of brissy that can recrimp the end of a 8mm winch cable as i recked the first 2m of it and need to cut it off

there is a mob ar brendale who can do it
cant remember the name of them but they are in the industial buildings behind glenfords off sth pine rd
as you drive in the complex keep right as you go past nathan trailers
and you cant miss them
they do all lifting gaer and cables and testing

I asked a while ago to have a cable re-crimped such as yours, maybe 2 mtrs. was told that the re-crimp wouldn't be rated as the original. As the cable has been used it has become thinner, therefore a 8mm swage will be too large, same for 10mm.

Maloolaba engineering and slipway have the machine to do the job on the sunshine coast. They have the machine at the back of the shop and a roller door right next too it. You can just drive around the back, pull your winch cable out and rob should be able to get you back in buisness.
Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.

okay finally going to get the cable fixed this week any updates on other places in brisbane nothside that will do it. a phone number would be great.
(really could have used it when i went out last)

just for everyone. i just spent 2 hours on the phone and no one wanted to do it for me or wanted to fully inspect my cable and it had to be a1 and charged like hell, but finally got on to ATS nets and ropes at clontaff, getting it done tomorrow for a hole $16 so im happy with that
