80series crusier speedo cluster
hi iam makeing a new instrument cluster does anyone have anything on the wires behind the cluster.like what wire is for what.its a 1991 80series petrol was 3f.iam makeing my own dash its going to have seperent speedo (autometer) and autometer gauages as well.just wanting to no which wires were for fuel and temp and tacho and oil and volts.ty brian

I can tell you there are heaps of wiring changes. 1990 to 8/1992 ran cable spedo, except for 3fe auto petrol that ran electronic. This system was adopted across the range after 8/92. There are differences with warning lights petrol to diesel, spedos are different too. 1/95 saw warning lights and pin positions of wires change again. If you put a gxl dash in a std and it is of thesame year and motor, it will work. if they are not compatable years, you will go gray fast.
