Theyre gutless peices of crap. ive had a 2.4 td surf for just over a year now and i cant stand it anymore. too slow. after you get past 3000 rpm it tends to struggle to gain revs anyway. turbo doesnt do anything till about 2000 rpm then hits full boost at 2500 then change gear at 3000 where the revs drop back down below 2000 so its back to struggling to pick up speed and pissing out black smoke until it finally reaches 2000 rpm again.

Sorry if its not the answer your looking for, but thats just my engine, yours may be better.

no worries, the one i dorve yesterday went pretty good i thought, but it has a three inch exhaust, maybe that helps.. and only running 32s on it so that would make it better wouldn it...
500ks to a tank isnt too bad...
cheers

haha try driving a n/a 2.4

it should only piss out black smoke if you have the right foot denting the floor the injector pump will just pump in way to much fuel for that rpm

sounds like yours as a fault. either its pouring in to much EGR or the inlet manifold is clogged up.
