advice on 1988 dualcab???

G,day guys, could someone give me some advice on a diesel 1988 dualcab hilux?
I have been offered one for a relatively good price, but what is that particular model like? is there something i should look out for when inspecting it? and what is the suspension like...is it IFS or what? anyhelp would be good...

88 would be a solid axle front.

There a great honest vehicle if they have been looked after.

check for good service history of 5000km oil and filter changes.
check oil condition, is it thick, or runny when cool.
These motors soot up their oil, and dont have alot of oil in the sump, thus the required frequent changes.

Check for rust in the drivers and pax foot wells, pillars, and along the roof line.

if you dont know what your looking at mech wise, invest in a mechs report that you trust. or a mate who knows them.

Most common faults are flogged out spring bushes, worn front axle hubs, and leaking oil around the front axle seals, no biggies, easy to fix, but take time.
