How rare is the 3.05:1 low ratio SJ410 transfer box?

Post by Denby »

I am curious to know more about the 3.05:1 transfer box from the SJ410 and was hoping for more info from the Gurus here.

From what I can tell it was an option on the SJ410K long wheel base pickup and possibly also used in the SJ30 (Japanese 540cc version of the 410).

Can anybody confirm this?

Cheers :)

i found this chart a while ago and it says what you are saying is true. The 3.05 sj30 gears bolt into the sj40 (1litre nt) I have an sj30 that has all sj40 running gear, i left the transfer when i swapped it all over. It was good at going slow but as a dd ran out of go at 80ish. was very zippy.
