Ive just replaced the head on a l28 and the timing chain is all set properly buy the Manuel but im having trouble trying to find number 1 on the dizzy cap. From what ive worked out you can just about have number 1 anywhere as long as you change the leads around but I cant seem to get the car running smooth. what I want to know where should number 1 point on the dizzy cap. Hope you can help.

yeah i tryed that but i cant seem to get it right .when i turn it off and try to start it again it sounds like the timming is still out and when i turn the dizzy cap to pull it up and rev it it backfires a bit and the timming light says it timmed. :bad-words: i cant work this thing out.

double check your cam timing and your firing order.
