I am fitting a patrol rear diff with disc brakes into a CJ5 jeep and need a calliper with a hand brake setup , has anyone done this before and what calliper did you use , tailshaft handbrake is not an option , Cheers Paul.

I know a couple of guys who've used some subaru components to get the handbrake setup.

Cal from CalOffroad has this setup on his personal jeep and he should be able to help you out with the exact parts that you need.

Whilst i haven't done a patrol I've used Nissan 180/200 SX 300ZX etc family calipers before

personally i like them as the handbrake mechanism and cables come out behind the diff rather then along the vehicles axis. Gives the mechanism and cables more protection.

the larger (H260) diff in the coil sprung GU wagons has a drum brake handbrake on it already, i dont know if it will bolt straight on to the diff you have though.
