Does anyone happen to have or know where I could get hold of a second hand distributor? I believe the electronic internal components of mine are dead.
Can a distributor from an older model Suzuki fit on a 1.3lt?

we think that the Generator (pickup coil) has decided to stop working. I have been told several hundred dollars to replace it. So now I’m looking at the best way to get it working again.

Got it all sorted out today, it turns out my initial worries about the pickup coil inside the distributor be faulty turned out to be wrong. Even though the coil appeared to be functioning properly, its output was fine and it pulse tested ok, it was still not right.
It turns out my (now former :x ) mechanic replaced my old coil some time ago he used the wrong one. He used a coil that was meant to be used in a system that had a resistor present in it. My zook has no such resistor. Subsequently when the coil was replaced with the correct one it now functions perfectly. At least it hasn’t appeared to cause any damage pickup coil. It doesn’t explain why it functioned perfectly fine for several months and just now decided to stop.
So thanks love_mud and mtzook but I’m now back on the road :D
