hilux diff gears

i have a 98 hilux ifs front suspension ive just fitted a 4 inch lift and 33 tyres,i have 4.5 diff gears ive been told with the bigger tyres fit 4.8 gears and someone else told me to put in 4.1 gears ,can someone tell me which way i should go

See how it drives with the ratios it has in it now, cause they should be fine.

it seems slower then what it was and the speedo is out by about 5-10 km

id leave it.

save the money for things that break.


Of course its slower, youve essentialy changed the ratios, a bigger tyre, weighs more to start with, and it has a bigger circumference.....

If you were to change the gears you would put 4.88's in to bring it back to somewhere near normal, but for the mucking around changin the gears front and rear, i wouldnt worry about it.

ive got diff locks to fit as well so i thought id change them while i have the locks fitted ,what would happen if 4.1 gears were fitted

It would make it worse
