Post by dirtyGQ »

i aquired a 98 sportage kia today as i pranged the xr6 saturday and do not intend to use my gq as a daily driver.
I was wondering what aftermarket accessories are available. Was thinking of steel bullbar etc.

Not a great deal of aftermarket stuff.

TJM/ARB/ECB do alloy bullbars, Hayman-Reese and others do towbars, Powerchip can give you a bit more power, there are some LOCK RITE type lokers made in Korea, (and soon IN AUSTRALIA), spring lift and bodylift straightforward, up to 32" real diameter (not manufacturers "inches") can be fitted on 15 x 7 Bronco (F150? rims).

A few people are looking at putting a snail on top, SAS has been done by some in the US. Donald82 on here has done the SAS (Europe?).

Weak spots...Electrical connectors across the top of the inlet manifold (unplug/replug several times once a year to clean contacts), Vacuum hubs if f itted (change to Warn manuals part #60247)

PM me with any Q's...
