LC 60 Series Sliding Window

Post by Marmor »

Hi all,

I recently managed to smash one of the sliding windows in the rear of my 60 series. From what I can see it is not a straight forward job to replace it. I went to the local wreckers and found one (even tinted just right ) but the guy could not remove it from the car - even after trashing the window frame. This, of course, raises the question of how I would even get it into my car?

I called Obrien glass and they can't quote on it until they order it. Doesn't sound like it would be cheap anyway...

Has anyone had experience with replacing these window? Do I have to get a whole new set of two and replace the whole lot or can I replace an individual window?

I hope this question is not too inane but I'm still a noob when it comes to a lot of this stuff. Just seems to me that it shouldn't be this complicated.

Cheers and Thanks ,

Mike.

Remove complete window frame from the car then do the individual window.

Thanks. I have picked up a complete frame with windows from the wreckers. Will drop the glass out and put into my existing frame.
