tore a tyre sidewall, can i replace with tube?

as above guys i ripped a hole in the side wall of one of my all terrains today about 30mm down from the tread, and 50mm long.
would a tube do the trick or not?
Ln106 dual cab lux 2.8 diesel
2inch lift, canopy, 32 pedes, barwork

2006 vz sv6, 3.6l high output v6

Short answer, NO.
You may be able to find a tyre place the will be able to vulcanize repair it, but ultimatlely the structural integrity of the side wall is gone and i wouldn't trust it.

tyre places are not aloud to do side wall repairs as it will make your car unroadworthy not even aloud to do it for trailer tyres.

You get a fitterent type of flaaex to the tread area as well as it is built differently. Even if you are successful with your repair it will leak eventually, sometimes catastophically (blowout) which at 100k/h is actually quite scary.

i punctured a sidewall and took it to a tyre repairer and they patched it and it has lasted over a year now with no leakage
01 td42 GU patrol ute, with extra bits and pieces.

i had a side wall repair done to a near new tyre but it couldnt be balanced right and at 80kph plus the car would start to wobble , i ended up putting it and another on my trailer and got 2 newies for my car

No one will do sidewall repairs locally, I am surprised this bloke did.

the only 4x4 tyres that we used to repair side walls on was for a guy that did comps. tyres were for off road use only.
if you get court with a side wall repaired tyre on the road your car will be put of the road and if you say which tyre place fixed it they will be fined. it is a rather big no no because a high percentage will blow out when at speed

hope you have it on the rear so that when it lets go at 100km mid corner you have a better chance of comming out the other side

see if you can get someone to fix it for you and run it as a spare.
will still have to be driven on if you have a blow out but ul have to take it easy i spose?

Cheaper to go to a tyre supplier and purchase a second hand tyre of the same brand, specs and size.
