hey does any body know what is invoved in doing a 3" lift in a swb gq patrol and is it worth it.

bolt them up and drive away

EDIT: also shortys suffer badly from vibrations.. some do with 1inch lift, others do with 6in lift - its a lottery and bitch to fix sometimes.

I have done this myself to my swb GQ, what i used was the correct springs and shocks, u need adjustable panhard bars if you want to do it properly, drop boxes would be best for the front radious arms, adjustable upper rear control arms to correct pinion angle. Options you can go for if you want to do the last adjustments is around 20mm longer lower rear trailing arms or adjustable lower arms to relocate your rear diff properly and adjustable drag link to bring your steering lock back to centre.

You can leave out what you want according to your budget, just remember everything goes more out of allignment in a shorty compared to a long wheel base. Some times it is easier to do a 2"lift and a body lift in a shorty.
Its not cool, unless it's got boost :)
