Rear Coil Spring Spacers

Post by matt17081 »

i@ve just noticed that coil spring spacers are available for some 4x4s like the nissan patrol etc but have not seen them advertised (in the U.K)for the Gen 2 pajero and was wondering if anyone has any experience of these spacers of if they have had any fitted to Pajero's

Hey,

I'm fairly certain you can fit GQ/GU coil spacers, however you need to cut out a little section to make them fit (nothing 2 difficult).

Someone else should be able to better describe it.

GQ ones will fit, but you'll have to mill out a bit around the inside so it fits over the lip on the Paj body work. Easily done with a router, or a drill with a router bit in it ;)

Cheers for that,
What size spacers have you fitted there, are they around the 30 mm or are they a wider than that? also do i take it that you've either fitted shock absorber extensions or have you just changed them for longer shocks, if so which ones have you fitted to keep full axle travel?
Thanks
Matthew

Those spacers look a lot like mine!

Mine are 30mm - the milled section is to clear a ring 22mm tall - I don't like your chances with a shorter spacer.

They are 30 mm spacers, you will need shocks to match your lift otherwise you will have no down travel.

I have GQ coils with RidePro 4Runner shocks, plus 2" bumpstop extensions. Though i do need a longer panhard rod..

spring spacers are available for the paj in aus. no need to cut, just put em in.

Fleetwood - "do you use gq spacers in the front and rear" = you have torsion bars in the front
