more power from a 4y petrol in hilux

my hilux has a 4y 2.2 petrol motor in it and i on my learners till july so i can only hav minor illegal things dun 4 the time being.

when where out wheelin ive got 33'' mickey t's on and on the hard hills it struggles to turn the 33's unless ur not shy with the right boot.

so i was hoping there is sum way u giv it a bit more torque without to many stand out pieces.i will eventually b puting a 302 windsor in it but hav to wait till im 21. thnks

diff gears maybe?................and why put a dinosour engine in it when toyota make a far superior v8 like this?

yer if that is the quad cam v8 i would LOVE that lol.
ive had a few people tell me that they hav problems with all the wiring n stuff. hav u had ne major problems with putting that in


n i hav 4.88 diff gears with 5 speed diesel box n low range i still pretty good
