Post by Turboln106r »

i have a major delema on my hands guys and need some help...
ive heard of people doing hiluxs with cruiser diffs and getting sweet flex, so i brought a stud 80 series to breed with my lux, but ive had them together for a few days now and they still have not made a hilux 80 hybrid... any help would be much appreciated.

Maybe some viagra and vodka.

By the way what are you doingg with the cruiser after you remove the diffs. If it's a 93/94 model with good factory flares I'm chasing a set if you want to start recouping some money.

haha just posted this like 10 mins ago on hilux vrs landcruiser thread

I pondered this question a lot i had two trucks a 80 series and a 1980 hilux

the hilux was way better in the mud light weight and easy to through around bouncing off this and that
also muddy descents the hilux was way superior more controllable due to its almost half the weight of the other truck

the cruiser was far better at crawling over stuff with heaps more flex no bouncing breesing thru stuff would cruise nicely over corrugations but heavy and would bog deep when in soft mud

that when i thought imagine a light 80 series with more power it would be able to tip toe over stuff light weight and flex with coil springs etc

so i started with this (80 series chasis) best toyota chssis

then got this (2jz twin turbo from a supra) most powerful standard toyota engine

then put this on top (rn46 hilux cab) lightest ever body

and ended up with this

cheers

jonathan

hope that gives you a clue what you may end up with
80 series 1980 hilux cab supra twin turbo engine
1hdfte 80 series
LHD fz 80 series GX
