My trailer when it was freshly built. It needs a bit of tlc and a coat of jam again as this was a few years ago.
falcon hubs with falcon bearings 55mm solid square axles with 10" elect. brakes all round with a brak away unit. The only think I reget is going slipper pring setup over roller rocker.

Pic later... use dual axles with Landcruiser hubs and tandem rocker springs. Runnign 31'' wheels the arches are built to drive over when loading, but still fit a falcodore without ramping the guards.

standard Trojan hubs/stubs and bearings. sorry not sure what size the bearings are.
a bit of a stuff up with the springs. they went to slippers due to trying to keep the height down. as it turned out there was heaps of room and really should have had rocker. the catch with rocker type is they are a bit higher which on non-flat decks it puts you deck height up a bit higher.
the shocks are bloody fantastic ! no banging loaded or unloaded.
the tires can't handle the braking (locks up easily) so an upgrade to brakes on both axles is planned.

talkin to the guy at a trailer shop the o0ther day slipper springs will only allow 2T, where roackers, are load sharing and can give you anywhere upto 4.5T,
they load sharing are the prefered setup when load sharing is bought into it,

Rocker springs share the load better than slipper springs (so better load distribution on your tyres and brakes). IIRC, you need to go Ford bearings for axles over 40mm. My trailer only needs to carry a Sierra, so I stayed with slipper springs and front axle only electric brakes.

This site will give you some idea of costs. They also have a full car trailer kit.

If you are building a trailer you need to remember that most 4x4's will be too heavy for the legal rating of a 2,000 kg trailer. Mine weighs 630 kgs empty which allows a maximum vehicle weight of 1360 kgs. If you go over 2,000 kgs, as stated above, you need bigger axles and 4 wheel brake away brakes, so more expensive but legal and safe.

Another question if I can jump in here.
What wheels are you guys using and what is the offset in them?
Trojan list a 90mm offset in their catalogue, but that's gotta be wrong the way I've been measuring it (from centre to mount face).
That's for 14 and 15" steel wheels with the 5x4.5" pattern.
If you go hilux/landcruiser wheels, what is the offset there?
