just wondering would it be better to have no weight on the suspension when changing the arms or it does not matter

I had the handbrake on, hubs locked, 4wd engaged and put blocks under the tyres when I swapped mine. I did one at a time and it worked fine. I think, I used a ratchet strap for the fine tuning

I had the front wheels chocked. And just moved the axle forwards or back slightly with my foot. Ok one took alot of effort and had to get someone else to put the bolt in.

i did mine and someone elses by reversing ever so slightly (clutch still slipping) till it was alligned perfect worked great but if your not confident or not paying full attention then it cana be hard.
better off chocking the front wheels and using a ratchet strap or something

I do mine quite regulary as the bushes don't really last very well.
Basically handbrake on and then do one at a time. Never had a drama and to line up the bolt just roll the wheel a bit to move it foward of back.
