Hi Guys,
Brother is in need of some new coils all round for his LWB GQ, it currently has a 5" lift with Superior Super Flex arms in the front to suit.
He is wanting to go to a 6" lift, and needs to know what rate coils to get to suit the arms.
He wants to get Dobinsons coils.
He never carrys anything in the back but a 35" spare.
He rang up Superior to find out but they didn't return his call.
Cheers.

For linear coils on the 5" I would use 276lbs for normal duty and 336lbs if you have a winch up front.
For also linear coils in 6-7" I would use 297lbs up front for normal duty and 335lbs if you have a winch.
There are softer coils available in linear in both the 5" and 6-7" Dobinsons coils.
We have designed flexy coils to suit Superiors Superflex arms in both 5" and 6" and 7" lift fronts. (I don't have the figures for my coils) however I do have the figures for the regular Dobinsons coils.
By the way, generally people wouldn't know what spring rate was best if it knocked them on the head. Superior and ourselves have the coils that we know work well and if people get something different then what we recommend then it causes us problems in the future. It is usually a Landrover person asking these questions, ask him if has previously owned a Landrover
If you want an answer from Superior keep calling because I know they are very busy right now.

Hi Shane, how about for the rear?
Had a quick look, can you get the flexi-coils on their own or do you have to get the kit?
He already has the shocks etc so just needs coils.
Thanks.
