guys, done a lot of searching and have come up with a few bits and pieces, now this is for those who have had there rear discs on a 40 cruiser approved by transport. The 2 ways I've seen it done that appeal to me is

1 Hilux front solid rotors and calipers
2 40 series front vented rotors and calipers

I have the handbrake on the transfer case, so don't wanna worry about that, but having hard time with the "approved inspactors" as to whether there is a pro/con with thesae 2 swaps, read on ih8mud that a guy inQld was told he couldn't fit vented rotors to the back, but can't see why?

so anyone who has had a system approved by Qld Transport - what parts have you used and were there any problems??

Haven't done it yet, but this is the way i was hoping to do it when ever i finally put a 60 series rear housing in mine. Havent looked into legalities but.

Edit:
Heres a link for anyone who might be interested.

I'd be really interested in the legalities of that one too twisty, spoke to the boys @ eureka and it's $450 for the disc kit which has the studs, stud spacers, brackets and longer bolts in it (need to supply own calipers and rotors), but if the 60 swivel hub can be engineered it'd be a much cheaper way (esp since I might have some credit with the local wreckers  )

It's a long time ago now , but i am fairly sure the 60 series front hubs just bolted on to the stub axel and i had a bracket made up the the caliper monuts to.

Twisty, the linked method wont work on a 60 or late 40 housing as the backing plate pattern is different.. It needs to match the front spindle pattern to work.. This conversion is working beaut on my 40, but isnt engineered..

The front hubs will go on, but the hub body is shorter than a rear hub, so it wont bolt up..
