death wobbles an GU patrol

Post by hedgy »

Recently hit a bank hard at bout 80kmh out bush in nissan GU patrol. At impact it actually spun the steering wheel bout half way round on spline of box. On way home could not drive over 50 kmh without nearly running of road from death wobbles. I replaced panhard rod bushes, cheked wheel alignment and all good. Front tie rod seems not to be bent as well. ANYONE GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING THIS. IT IS ACTUALLY UNDRIVABLE AT MOMENT IT IS THAT BAD!!!!!!!

Have you checked the front wheels are not buckled or badly out of balance? Also have you checked out the swivel bearings and wheel bearings?
